Hugh Hefner Engaged to Girlfriend Crystal Harris!

It certainly was a very merry Christmas at the Playboy Mansion.

Hugh Hefner, 84, and his 24-year-old girlfriend Crystal Harris are engaged.

Hef tweeted, "When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory."

Not long after, the world's most famous bachelor cleared up any questions about the ring by tweeting, "Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring. I didn't mean to make a mystery out of it. A very merry Christmas to all."

Harris hasn't exactly tweeted about the engagement, but did post this morning, "Hef and I are TRENDING on @twitter!!!! WOW!!!"

The two began dating almost two years ago.

In April, Hefner hinted that the big day may be coming.

"It's certainly possible," Hefner told me when asked if he had plans to pop the question. "I certainly care enough for her…I certainly love her enough. We'll see. All I want is for the relationship to be as happy as it is."

He also said at the time, "I'm having more fun than I did when I was 20."

Hefner has been married and divorced twice. He has four children. This will be Harris' first marriage.

No word on a wedding date.

Sounds like it could be time for a another reality show. Hugh and Crystal Getting Married, anyone?

iCrystal Harris (born April 29, 1986 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona) is an American model and singer who was the Playboy Playmate of the Month for December 2009.

Harris' British parents were entertainers, who were working at the England-themed amusement park of Lake Havasu City, the present location of the 19th century London Bridge. After her birth, they returned to England, before returning to the United States and settling in San Diego, California, where she and her two older sisters grew up.

Harris attended La Jolla High School and went to San Diego State University, majoring in psychology,where she started modelling. It was during this period that she came to the attention of the Playboy organization.

Harris met Hugh Hefner on Halloween 2008. She then appeared as "Co-Ed of the week" on Playboy.com magazine in the week of October 30, 2008, under the name Crystal Carter. From late 2009 Harris has appeared in E!'s The Girls Next Door.

In January 2009, she started dating Hugh Hefner, joining the Shannon Twins after his previous number one girlfriend Holly Madison left him.

In April 2010, Harris signed a recording contract with Organica Music Group, a label run by producer Michael Blakey. Crystal Harris was first exposed to the entertainment industry through her late father, Ray Harris, who was a singer and songwriter.

Harris also appeared in an episode of The Hills in season 2.

On December 24th 2010, she got engaged with Hugh Hefner (the Playboy magazine founder), to become his third wife.
