7.4 quake hits Pakistan near Afghan border

A massive magnitude 7.4 earthquake has struck southwestern Pakistan near the Afghan border,
No reports yet about casualties or damage.

The quake hit at 1:23 a.m. Wednesday local time, about 640 miles west of Islamabad, the capital.
US Geological Survey reports that an earthquake registering 7.4 on the Richter scale has hit southwestern Pakistan. The quake happened at 1:30 am local time on Wednesday in Baluchistan province near the border with Afghanistan. Reports of damage are not immediately available. No injuries have yet been reported, but this is a developing story. We'll keep you posted on developing events.
